Success Library
Every marketer (online or offline) should have a well rounded success library. This is a collection of books, audios, videos etc. of great marketers of today and yesterday. I will share with you some of my own library and I urge you to consider building your own. Many books are quite old however human nature remains as true today as it was in Roman times and before. Stand on the shoulders of advertising greats and you will reach your goals easier.
Many of these books can be purchased used via Amazon etc. with some being available through public domain. Some are nearly impossible to find but successful marketers are the ones contiually learning and reading an hour a day, listening to audios in your car, [though please watch videos at home safely ;-)] should become as much your normal habit as is eating. Attending three or four seminars a year will go far in your success plan and get (audio or video) copies of every seminar you attend to reinforce what you have learned. Of course, the contacts you make at the semniars will be very helpful as well.

Claude C Hopkins
One of the greatest copywriters of all time, Claude Hopkins invented sampling, risk-free trials, money-back guarantees, market testing and other breakthrough advertising techniques. His findings have done more for direct marketing than any other copywriter in the history of advertising.
The core concepts in Scientific Advertising are the basis of all successful direct marketing and apply as much today as in 1923. In fact since most online marketers do not know these timeless principles you can easily outpace your competitors.
